Italpasta Joins the Fight Against Hunger

Canadian Food Company Joins Breakfast Television/City TV in Giving Back to those in need through the Daily Bread Food Bank

(BRAMPTON, March 27, 2013) – Canada’s premium pasta manufacturerItalpasta Limited will join Breakfast Television live on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in their efforts to promote the Daily Bread Food Banks’ 2013 Spring Food Drive.

Hunger is a reality for thousands of people in Toronto. And Italpasta is proud to join Breakfast Television/City TV in helping the Daily Bread Food Bank reach their campaign goal of 100,000 pounds of food which will help the food bank meet the needs of over 66,000 food bank visits a month.

Italpasta’s donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank totals 1,500 pounds of pasta – a wish list item for the Daily Bread Food Bank – that will help over 600 families enjoy a nutritious meal.  Pasta is a good source of complex carbohydrates, and a moderate source of protein, containing minerals such as iron and phosphorus, and essential B vitamins (Thiamine, Niacin and Riboflavin) as well as being fortified with folic acid. It is also low in sodium, fat and sugar and contains no cholesterol.

Italpasta Limited was founded in 1989 by Joseph Vitale. Thanks to a dedicated team, Italpasta is sold across the country and is a leader in the food service and private label sectors.
