Tips
For best results, use Italpasta Penne Rigate that’s been prepared and tossed with marinara sauce 1 day ahead.
For leftover cooked penne in sauce, cook 1 pkg (454 g) Italpasta Penne Rigate according to package directions. Toss with 1 jar (398 mL) Mutti Ready Made Sauce heated according to package directions.
Alternatively, use leftover cooked penne without sauce or that has been tossed with olive oil or butter. Use as above but double amount of Mutti Simply Sugo so that penne is well coated before air-frying.
For extra creaminess, slide a little piece of cheese inside each tube of penne before skewering.
If using bamboo wooden skewers, soak in water for 10 to 15 minutes before skewering to prevent charring.
